When she said "I've been fine"
I could tell it was a lie, it was in her eyes

"Take your coat off and stay a while"
As she sat down I thought I saw her smile
"Listen, there's something I need to say"
I closed my eyes, took a deep breath and this is what I said...

"I've been lost since I lost you
You went away girl, what was I supposed to do
I've been scared many times over the years
But losing you again is my greatest fear"

I opened my eyes and looked at her
Tears flowed down, man she looked so uncomfortable
What have I done, I've made her cry
Then she closed her eyes, took a deep breath and this is what she said...

"I've been lost since I lost you
You went away love, it was something I had to do
I've been scared many times over the years
But losing you again is my greatest fear"

I couldn't believe my ears
Those are the kind of words you wait your whole life to hear
It's a feeling that can't be described, keeps you up with butterflies,
Leaves you breathless and changes your life

A seperation tearing one soul in two
I've been scared many times over the years
But with you in my life I have no fear"
