BIG TORONTO SHOW DEC 8TH
I've organized an incredible 350+ person show which takes place on Thursday, December 8th 2011 at the Supermarket in Toronto. The first 20 people through the door will receive a FREE copy of my CD "Distant Society presents...Joel Martin"! (www.cdbaby.com/cd/joelmartin21)This concert features some of the very best performers from the Toronto music scene including the Pigott Brothers, the Morning Thieves, the Selyne Maia Trio, Jacelyn Holmes, Mike Celia and myself! These performers have won many awards, been finalists on Canadian Idol and Total Pop Stars, worked with the Arkells, worked with Juno nominees, had their songs featured in movies and tv shows etc...All the details for the show are on the official Facebook event page at http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=157487417680629. PERSONAL CARD FROM RUSH
In my last post I talked a little bit about working with Rush and I posted a pic of all of us together. We ended up raising over $140 000 for charity in just 1 day! The band then surprised me by sending a personal thank you card in the mail! I've blurred out some of the content as it is a personal card!

My 2-year-old video for "The Death of Me (The Species Song)" off of 2009's "Distant Society presents...Joel Martin" CD has suddenly found an audience online where it's received 6400+ views in the last few days. He was asked to perform at Prime Minister Stephen Harper's Daughter's private birthday party 2 years in a row. After the performance Mr. Harper told him that he really enjoyed the show and thought it was extremely entertaining.
